Lovely. I like the simplicity of the setting. Shows off the stone beautifully. Any tips for setting odd shaped stones?

Try checking your progress on a light box. (see A Mini Light Box For tricky Bezels). If the stone is pebble shaped, there is no need to make a back. Just make a wider well fittig bezel, say 3 1/2 - 4.0mm wide and solder on a jump ring, or make a bail. Now fitt the bezel back onto the stone. Burnish down a little at the front, then a little at the back and keep on until it s pressed down neatly. Kind regards, Dennis.

Dennis you are a star! I've got a lovely Picasso Jasper that is curved both front and back, and I've been trying to figure out if it was possible to do what you've just described - thank you!

Well done Sharon, it's a fiddly business.

Well it is going to be easier next time, if only because you know, before you start that you can do it!

I live next to a fire station, which is reassuring when I'm soldering. They have lots of space, if you're willing to join up. On open days my grandchildren get to climb on the engines. Well done Sharon, Dennis.
