    Default bezel-set jasper

Hi, I wanted to post something a bit different from the PMC work I've shown before.
I spent a lot of time last week at my bench practising things I've struggled with before like bezels and soldering. I'm pleased to say that neither of those things are quite so intimidating now, and I mananged to set a cabochon I've had for a while.

    Anyway, here goes....

Its lovely, really like the stone.

I've started work on setting some of my Designer Cabochon stones this week too! Hopefully I'll have some pics next week )

Thank you everyone. The stone is from Designer Cabochons - spent rather too much money last year with them!

Beautiful - love the simple lines of the setting, cause they really set the stone off well. My attempts at bezel setting were horrendous- but its great to see practice does make perfect. Maybe I'll give it another go!

Now that's very nice, I like that a lot. How long does it take to make something like this?

not sure about perfect, but definately less bad!

I'm not sure how long it took (cos there was a bit of swearing and re-doing in the middle!) Would probably take someone more experienced an hour or 2 or maybe I'm being hopeful! It took me less than 6 hours (how long I was in the studio, but I was doing quite a few other things at the same time!

That is beautiful! Such a perfect setting for that stone, and I like the simple bezel too.
