    Default Rough Diamonds-ugly or attractive?

Most people don't get to see diamonds in their rough state - we are more used to the shiney, sparkly ones. Personally I think in their rough condition they can be quite attrctive - what do you think?

I've not seen a rough diamond that looks like that before. I prefer those that show their cubic crystals but then I am a mathematician!

Hi Gemma - what's the square root of your debit card pin number?

There are more and more contemporary designers using rough stones in their work recently. I can't use them much in mine unfortunately, but I like them as well.

It goes against the grain a little for a ruddy engineer I think - we are supposed to like nice crisp lines and precision. I also like roughness and oddities - such as knobbly mushrooms and odd shaped fruit and veg :-)

I prefer rough stones to their polished counterparts. Having said that, if anybody's throwing facetted cut stones in my direction - feel free, I won't throw them back at you ;-)
