    Default Elfweave sheet

I did one small piece elfweave sheet on Saturday using what I thought was 1.2mm copper wire and 5.0mm rings and the weave was really tight. So on Sunday, I thought I'd have another go using 5.5mm rings, only to discover that the wire that I thought was 1.2mm, was in fact 1.25mm.

Anyway, using an increased AR in the second attempt resulted in a much better behaved piece of elfweave sheet

    Thanks everyone

Sheltie, give it a go...it's a cracking weave!

It's one of those weaves that's a bit tricky for the first few rings, but I found stabilising the rings on a piece of polystyrene with pins really helped. I used the polystyrene because it was the only thing to hand, but ideally I want to get hold of that stuff that florists use for arranging flowers which I think will last longer than the polystyrene.

Ultimately, the plan is to make a bracelet/cuff with this weave in Sterling silver using 1.2mm wire and 5mm rings.
