Question Hair Pins - suggestions gratefully received

    Hi.
I have recently got a new (and my first proper) outlet. I had a meeting with a very lovely lady who took quite a lot of work and has ordered more, with a request for hair pieces for weddings... as she does wedding flowers she often gets asked. She suggested hair pins/grips the would go with what i call my 'captured range' which basically consists of silver bowls holding resin of various colours etc (pls see my profile for a picture) which would be fab... only she wants to keep them low cost, therefore not making the actual grip from silver.
... Any ideas as to how i can effectively attach my silver bowls to a bog standard grip.... of if not a cost effective way of achieving something similar??
    Many thanks in advance

Personally I wouldn't entertain permanently attaching sterling bowls on a plated hair pin...
It would have to be either soft solder (i.e solder iron) or a cold connection like glue, screw or rivet
all of which may come and bite you on the bum.
The only other option would be to solder small loops to the back before adding the resin to the cups then wire them in
(the easiest option for future maintenance + design/colour options) I did this on drop earrings a while ago and it looked quite good.
