    Default How to melt silver/gold - instruction document

    Hi to all.

    Its very old topic, but for new godlsmith still a bit new ideas how to melting in correct way silver/golg.
    At the moment is only photos with txt in polish language, but soon I try translate all documents and I hope so, will be hand full for you.

    Sorry for my not correct english, my experience like goldsmith is much biger then knowladge of english language...

    I still remember my first time when I melted silver all metal was around but not inside ingot

    You can melt it down, but you will be losing value. When you melt it down, silver, nichol and other additives will separate, and you will lose the value of those special metals. Best thing to do is to take your gold and separate it into classes.
