Actually, I'm not coping well with the plaster at all, and have ordered an aircast (you can't get them on the 'ealth for arms) which should arrive today. Can't wait - it's supposed to help speed up the healing process a lot, and should give me much better finger mobility as well.

Ah. There's the embarrassing bit! I stepped into a hole that a friend's dog had dug in her garden, turned the ankle into it and then fell on the hand.

Not that bad, if it hadn't been right at the start of a bit of a get-together of people from my lampworking forum, including quite a few I'd never met before, and some very amused children (who clearly thought I was the entertainment). Talk about making an entrance.....
