I have been given a milbro pendant drill, just the motor part so need to get flex shaft and foot pedal for it. My question is do I have to use milbro parts or will cheaper makes fit?

Sorry no idea - can you contact the manufacturers?

Lucky you
I think I'd go for the real thing - far less worries about compatibility, and they should be covered by a guarantee.
You`re best getting a Milbro one as other makes have different fittings onto the motor shaft and are not compatable.
Mind you, my seco/milbro hybrid worked for 10years but it did have a tendency to dismantle itself when run at top speed. So not recommended!
Thanks for all your replies. Guess I shall be saving my pennies for a few months and get the proper spares.
