I'm taking photos of the jewellery I've just finished tomorrow, so I'll post some pictures!

Being brand new here I'm not sure if this counts for the challenge. I made this last week. I call it "Gulf Moon". It is sort of bashed metal. I torture copper with little snippits of sterling silver (from my scrap dish)....I heat the copper with the bits of silver sitting on it..until the poor copper gives in and accepts the silver as its own. Its a little mean- but so far the copper has gotten over it and had no lasting repurcussions mentally.
I tube set the moon- which is a golden citrine and added a sterling tube for a bail.

I adore that bangle. I would love to make something like that but I'm concerned the selling price would be higher than the shops I sell in could manage. Also- I don't have any stakes

I don't have any stakes either sadly. I did lots of metal bashing at uni - it was fun!
Also I live in a terraced house now so i have to try and keep the hammering to a minimum!

I'm slightly confused though... what other things count as metal bashing other than hammering?
I started a ring on Fri but you're not seeing it till its done

Yep, anything that deforms the metal permanently by using a 'sufficient' load (according to another definition). So I suppose the load in wire wrapping would be fingers or pliers.

Cathy - love that effect of the silver on the copper! Would go great with some of the foldforming I've done.

I don't think my previous piece fits the criteria of plastic deformation! Thanks for the explanation. Now I know what it means

Maybe this piece fits. The silver is soldered onto copper then hammered to texture and bend corners flush- then hammered to form a slight curve for the wrist. The links are bend- soldered - hammered and stamped as are the goofy irregular links. Lampwork cab and bead.

Would forging heavy wire be considered as plastic deformation? Made a piece yesterday using 10g sterling wire that is forged into a shape and curve (with cabs of lampwork dicro and mother of pearl)
