    Default Hallmarking Silver Clay

    Hi

I do hope I'm not repeating previous threads but I'm looking for some advice on hallmarking silver clay...

I make charms, pendants, cufflinks, etc from silver clay but all findings are sterling - does this therefore mean that the pieces would be hallmarked as sterling, or can different marks be applied to different components?

    Just slightly confused!

I think different marks can be applied to different components (but you pay for each stamping)
It's safest to phone the assay office to make sure...

    Hi,
as I understand it you get your pendants hallmarked 999 (for silver clay) and as the findings are sterling and already hallmarked (??) don't worry about them...assay will just grade the silver clay.
