The enamelling is lovely. As are the rest. Is that silver leaf in the centre of the enamel?

Yes I did tourch fire the little beasty on a wire rack so as I could heat from the underneath to avoid burning the enamel. No its not silver leaf, the stars are solid silver.

It took ages to get the design right, but what a wonderful effect I ended up with.

I've been torch firing as well, and seem to be getting good results after a few burnings! It's great just for playing round before I invest in a kiln, and I find I'm learning quickly about how the enamel reacts as it heats far better than I would if I was shutting the kiln door on it. I want to do some more advanced techniques which will definitley require a kiln, but in the meantime torch firing is more than sufficient.
