The pics I posted a moment ago are of it in its latest state - as you can see I think i enjoy re-organising my workshop more than making jewelry sometimes!

Thank you for the compliments though! The pegboard is great - they have all sorts of holders that you can just slot in place and hold anything.

Rio Grande is awsome, but so is Otto Frei and we have a place in NY called Zaks tools that you can pretty much pick up anything from (and of course save on postage!) That is one great thing about the US - so many tools suppliers! oh I almost forgot to mention GRS tools!

PSbond - have you heard of New Approach? it was awsome, the best time I ever had - so much fun and so much information. I think there are some cool pics on flickr of the school.

I took an awsome class last year with this guy Chris Ploof Studio and completely fell in love with mokume I got a hydraulic press for my birthday so hope to start making it when I get back to my studio (I haven't even seen the press yet!)

Yeah, I know of Blaine Lewis - I learned flush setting with his DVD.
The stakes in my photos aren't mine, they belong to West Dean College - although I'm gradually catching up...

So which press is it? A Bonney Doon? One of Kevin Potter's? I built an 8 ton press for some bits I was working on, but there are days where a gutsier model appeals. The downside is that then I'd have to do less hammering.

Been browsing your photostream Lucy and like most am thoroughly jealous of your studio. Puts my work area (half of the dining table) to shame. Gorgeous jewellery too!

Thanks Nic! She totally deserves them though - best friend you could ask for!

The studio is a pleasure to work in, but I would love a window Going to be moving house soon though, so the chance to get a complete new workshop is very exciting! I do feel very lucky every time I go in there Gemma

Blaine is an awsome guy PS - so funny, and nothing at all like on his dvd's. I'd deffinately recommend watching the princess setting one too if you can. I have no steaks at all - after a kiln (for mokume) they will be the next purchase. I got a 20 ton Kevin Potter press - it looks lovely, but I am waiting to go back to NY to play with it.

Hammering is so much fun anyway and good for the old arm muscles! reminds me of a couple other things I need to get - a BFH and a good anvil for hammering on.
