Talking Me?... I have the body of a GODDESS!!!!!

OMG!! I feel positively fit and healthy...that's a lie of course but compared to the above I have decided to be grateful for what I have got! I have problems with my sacroilliac joints which never really 'firmed up' again after multiple whopping babies. I have developed immaculate posture to try to keep everything balanced in place - well I try - cos it helps! Nevertheless I occasionally I get sciatica really badly which isn't funny. Pilates has helped and so does a daily brisk walk.

......And I think the 4 and a half stone is essential baggage for the 'mature' woman...as we all seem to have acquired it! Watch out girls...married life and motherhood takes its toll!!

    Thumbs up

That sounds awful Su! How long has it been since the op? Do you do anything other than the treadmill? I've always been told to go swimming but I'm not a fan of swimsuits And Pilates is very good as Barbara said, but you'd probably have to do very expensive one on one lessons like me I find the cross trainer without the swinging arms is very good (low impact, no twisting).

Barbara - I almost feel fit enough to take on the challenge of having babies... but it sounds like it'll just knock me back over the edge again... may be next year then

Lol I had my op on 2.8.05 and havent swam for a long time because having my head up in the water (which helps if you dont want to drown) was a little uncomfortable. I am very bad at exercising these days, and so am really gonna have to force myself to get off the laptop and onto the treadmill lol.

Day 1, i had a cup of black Ceylon tea when i got up, and at 8am i had my first shake. Not bad, quite satisfying, and am looking forward to 12 when i can have my soup lol. I have had one big mug of hot water so far, and am about to get another, as i would normally be having a bit of my lunch by now lol so its a habit that i have to break. That will be followed by another shake at 4 and another at 8. After the first three days i will be able to sustitute one of the shakes with a bar, so looking forward to that as we had a taster session last night and i really liked the fruit one, the cranberry one and mostly the toffee one (making my mouth water thinking about it lol) so they will probably be my evening treat. I have some water flavouring too so i will have to remember to bring that to work with me.

I have promised myself that i will be able to get out all my nice clothes that were put in the loft at the end of this diet, and actually be able to wear them, so that will feel good again
