Well its kinda comforting that I'm not the only one, but for everyone elses sakes I wish I was!

Hopefully I'm going to go on a workshop day this Sat at peter symonds college near winchester- if they get back to me and let me know if there are any places left.

I am going to make it over to yours one of these days Carl!

Thanks guys for all the support and big hugs to everyone who's in the same rut

I have been watching the Flickr Ring a Day Challenge too and am considering joining. Like Nic says, the inspiration is brilliant and it doesn't have to be metal! I love the different jewellery focussed groups and pools on Flickr, there are so many different ones; if you do a search for 'jewellery' Groups there are 6120 of them including Maille, button, fabric, ceramic, felt etc as well as metal. One thing I have learnt from it is that if you think you have come up with something utterly new, you probably haven't, it's already out there somewhere!

I also got a book for Christmas called The Crafter's Devotional - 365 days of tips, tricks and techniques for unlocking your creative spirit. It is aimed at anyone who does any sort of crafts (except fine art or graphic design type subjects) and is broken up into weeks using a different technique each day of the week to help you do or think about something.
Monday - Journalling; write, draw or make notes
Tuesday - recycle, reuse or revive
Wednesday - collection, stash and materials
    Thursday - Personal history
    Friday - Non-craft inspiration
Sat & Sun - Collaborate, Gather & Experiment

Sounds abit methodical, and I'm not going to follow it religiously but skimming through the pages there are some good ideas.

    I do a book review!

I got inspired by remembering I was going to make myself earrings and a necklace to go with my long party dress 'cos it's our office dinner/dance soon - then I remembered it was this coming friday and I hadn't done anything yet. So last night I made a really simple earrings and necklace!

Yep it's this Saturday Gemma, starting at around 10.30 going on till we finish - normally 6 ish, stay for as long or as little as you want. Be great to see you.

I believe this one will be a very good turn out . Lot's of newbies and some coming down from middlesex for their 3rd visit.
