    Default Earring Wires

    Hello everyone

I've got a pair of quite heavy earrings to make wires for. What do you think is the largest size wire I can get away with using and still be comfortable for a customer to out through their ears?

The 1mm wire looks right with the design but I'm afraid it will be too thick for most people to use.

Hmm, I had the same dilemma as you. I ended up making a batch which think were 0.8mm. I was afraid that 0.6mm might not be strong enough or would bend too easily when trying to put them in. If you've got pierced ears (or a friend has) it might be worthwhile just trying the 1mm wire out.

You should be okay with 0.8mm Annie but I wouldn't go any larger than that.

1 mm is definitely too large. Ouch!
