Default Can it go any more wrong?

Seriously, I feel like banging my head against the wall. Some one requested some rings from me, which I have been struggling to get to between work and house moving chaos and other mini crises that seem to be coming at me thick and fast right now. She was fine with it taking a while so all was OK really. Anyway I told her that I should have them ready by the end of last week, but didn't quite manage that, so have been finishing them off this week, wanting to have them ready for today. Added to the fact I am seriously out of practice and am a fumbling slowpoke, yesterday in my stupidity I managed to scratch the cabochon I was setting, but could cope with that as I had a spare. Now I just dropped it and it has fallen behing the floorboards!

Sometimes I wonder if persuing this is a good idea...

Have you got some micromesh Lucinda? I've successfully polished scratches out of cabs with the finer grades. Might be worth a try at least!

Hmm, I do and I did wonder that, I had a quick go but might have started too fine, I'll try again. Thanks George - seems like magic stuff!

Does cooksons sell micromesh I couldn't seem to find it? Hope that sorts your problem, everything always goes wrong at the same time. I'm desperately waiting for the postman to arrive with my hallmarked jewellery which should have reached a gallery on Monday and I haven't even got it polished yet

I don't think Cooksons do sell it, I got mine from eBay. Once I have scoffed my Jaffa Cakes and glugged my coffee I shall give it a go.

Yep, everything at once it seems, hoping to get all disasters sorted by the end of the month to start afresh in January, lol!

    Thanks Emma!

I know what you mean, seems to be about 3 months of it at the moment though, lol!

I tried the micromesh, but the scrat was so deep (go me!) I would be there for a month of Sundays trying to get it out. I have otdered more cabs though and my supplier said she could get them dispatched today
