    They said to let them know how I got on so I'm waiting for a reply.

    If the won't give me a new barrel I'll try with a new belt (£5) before investing in a new barrel (£37.95).

    Could the lid be fouling that bracket at the top?

    If the lids not running true it might cause a bit of friction?

    Try putting talcum powder on the rollers, or on the barrel to add to the grip.
