    Default Crop Circles

I was't quite sure which discussion area to put this in - but I'm sure you lot will take it where you will anyway!

I got an email this morning with a link to this site - Latest Crop Circles, Crop Circle photographs and Online Shop - Temporary Temples ...and looking at the photos in the Image Library I thought to myself what a great design resource it is...and well worth a look.... so that is the jewellery related bit.

Off topic - I know some of you live in the areas that these things appear in each year and was wondering what you all think of them.... (do do do do do do do do!)

They're stunning aren't they - and such a wonderful design resource that the site is now bookmarked and in my 'essential information like mattresses' file. That is an example of my organisational skills

What do I think of them - an elaborate hoax but would love to be convinced otherwise

I do think they're beautiful but I bet the farmer coming to his field that he's fed and ploughed and watered doesn't think so.
Is it any different to someone breaking into your home to paint a "masterpiece" on the wall?
(then again if it was "Banksy" he's welcome, lol)

Several several years ago now one appeared locally and there where many photos taken and a huge amount of dicussions in the local papers but it was made by my some local lads and a ladder! who will remain nameless after a night at a rave, i dont think they ever owned up and only those few in the know know how it appeared lol x

I've bookmarked it - I love looking at crop circles but hadn't considered them as a source for inspiration.

They are incredibly clever but I dont think they were made by aliens - just unrequieted artists

Well, I have to admit that I am a great sceptic but I also find it hard to see it all as human activities. Most of us would find it hard to draw these things on paper let alone on a massive scale in a field in the dark!!
One of the largest designs recorded appeared at Milk Hill, in Wiltshire, it measured over 900ft in diameter and the design was made from 409 circles all arranged in a circular spiral. The 409 circles circles in the formation ranged in size from 70ft down to about a foot in diameter!

But whatever...I still think they are amazing and inspirational images for jewelelry designs!
