I'm in the process of making my locket and realise I haven't got any tippex. Is there anything else I can use that I might have hanging about?

After a tip here, I now use rouge powder mixed with meths, and it works beautifully

Ooh LOCKET? I have a couple of locket designs sat on my bench, but I need to practice hinges first!

Well I've given up on the hinge and resorted to using a swivelling rivet (if that's the correct term). I've spent all day on the b....... thing and only just stopped at 10.45. The hinge was so tiny that I couldn't get it to solder in the right places. Now I know why so few people make lockets. I'm not charging anywhere near enough for it to cover the hours and frustration involved.

I do lots of clamshell pendants (just two nice big domed discs with stuff hanging in the middle) which seem very popular, and are a bit more tactile than conventional lockets - as well as being SO much easier

That sounds interesting George. What sort of things hang from the middle and how do you hang them?

Carole, I use a single large jumpring to connect the two halves of the clamshell (single hole drilled fairly near the edge of each one) and use the bit of the ring that's now inbetween the two halves to hang charms (often little hearts or tags with initials on), gemstones (birthstones of children are especially popular) etc. I'm just finishing one today, so I'll post a pic when it's done.
