Where's the green parrot?

Or rather parakeets. We used to have loads in our neighbourhood but I haven't seen any for ages and what with it being declared open season on them, I'm worried they've all been shot!


Anyone seen any lately?

I thought I was going mad when I saw about 20 of the bright green things sitting in one tree near our house. Last time I saw them there were only about 3 so I was worried too...

Really - parrots? I've never seen a parrot out and about...

There are usually hundreds of them in Beckenham Place Park (south of central London) - I will have to check with my brother who lives locally and plays golf there to see if they are still about. Usually noisy little buggers, I can hear them when he's on the phone to me from his garden.

HA! You really have taken me back with your title Coco. It was the title of a book that all my 4 children loved (back in the 80s)...one that got read practically every night for years as they were growing up as they could memorise most of the words which were repeated on every page...and shouted with glee by excited little faces!!!!

Quite a few actually over the last 3 weeks or so and one even fluttered around before landing in my neighbours tree - t'was gorgeous. There just aren't enough words to describe how pathetically excited I am about this!
