    My first tutor like that too, the best I ever had. At university one of tutors said my stuff looked like it belonged on a market stall!

    Well done!! Seven weeks is a long time though...just make sure you keep shutting up that little voice in the mean time...if you start to weaken just come back and tell us all and we will all rally round!!

    the course i am on is quire informal as it has no proper qualification at the end but i tohught it would be a good introduction to the world of design and making. I am a huge wuss and would easily get away from any course where the tutor was a..........shall we say, a tad unapproachable :P All i can say is, put it down to experience and roll on the new course!

    Barbara - I might just take you up on that. Right now I feel good about it but nearer the time I'll probably be all "I don't wanna gooooo!!!!!! !

    I did a course once where I wasn't soo keen on it and it put me off, but now I am looking to do more. The last course, there was hardly any equipment and in 10 weeks I just about made a ring. I spent most of the course waiting around.

    If I were you I'd call the college, and ask if you coudl speak to the tutor on the phone, get a list of questions together about the course so you could get a feel for what they will be like.
