    I think I will register a hallmark with the assay office after Christmas. Been pondering the idea, but do you not have to submit your work without the stones in for marking?

    You could keep the stone set piece separate, with a note that it's not to be marked.

    I sent in my work with my gems in place in the piece, but you can put them in a seperate bag and mark as "with X piece, not for hallmarking" and they'll work with that I believe.
