Default Chaos Ring - In progress

Here are some pics of a ring I was asked to make for someone. It is going to be a very large ring. It is far from finished and I will post pics as I progress.

The ring as you see it here does not go on the finger. The whole thing is going to be mounted on the front of a wide band. Its going to have a secret compartment inside and some chunky stones set on the front of the ring and the back of the band. The ring shown in the pics is free from the inner bit and will be able to spin around the shaft.

Um. If not on a finger, then where is it worn? Nice work there.

Glad my tips were helpful, the full explanation of the rings workings would be of interest to us all as you have tempted us with the mechanics.......

Its been challenging so far, but with some handy tips from other forum members I have reached this stage in the design.

I will indeed keep the forum updated to the progress.

The finished piece is a ring to go on the finger, but the ring in the picture goes around the shaft as shown in the picture also. The whole thing will be mounted onto a thick silver band, which will be the ring that goes around the finger. Its hard to explain. You will see when it is finished.
