Talking I'm in Trouble - Again

I think I may have to spend the next few days avoiding my OH!

Unfortunately I had had a conversation with the wine pixies before I looked at Rob's bead sale and was feeling very mellow indeed. As a result I bought rather more than the two or three sets I'd planned on (Ooops).

Once my ears had stopped ringing from the 'HOW MUCH!!!!!' I did try and explain that they were an investment, I was planning on using them in pieces for my website etc.

His reply was to tell me I wouldn't be able to afford to set up my website if I didn't stop spending money on beads etc. A lively conversation then took place until he went off th bed to sulk.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about - it makes perfect sense to me!

    Ah well

Ah......I'm from the other side I'm afraid....
My OH hides things from me so that I don't know he's spending money, 'cos he knows I'll lose it

Annie, I have had that self-same conversation numerous times - without the help of the wine pixies too.

In fact, I just read your post out loud to my OH in the mistaken belief that he would see that I am not unusual in my proclivities for lampworked beads and they really are an investment.

He just grumbled at me and carried on reading the newspaper.

But lampies are so cheap compared to shoes, handbags, clothes, makeup etc etc etc. I regard myself as positively cheap to run compared to lots of wives.........

Annie: Ha, was it you buying them all, then?

I had a look, but it was a bit too much of a feeding frenzy for me - every time I looked at one it had sold! And I don't like buying things if I don't have time to decide whether I really like them, so I ended up not getting any. (Also, I'm holding off on buying them because I'm about to start making my own - when I've been doing that for a while, I'll have a better handle on what effects are easy to get and which ones I should buy if I want! I think silvered ivory and frit will keep me happy for a very long time)

He saw the email with the confirmation, both accounts come up on both laptops I'm afraid. He got to it before I could file it.
