Default Day 1 at the NEC .....

...... has been a dead loss! Thousands of people came through the doors and the hobbycraft end was packed. Our end (Crafts for Christmas) was empty by comparison. Literally hundreds of people looked at my stuff and said how much they absolutely loooovved it but only a few bought anything. Most of the people though were older and quite a lot were disabled. I think they were on coach trips and just having a day out, with no intention of buying anything. Only the very cheap, traditional or twee stuff was selling from what I could see. People have no taste at all!!!!

I used to go on the Sunday but haven't been for a few years now. Thursday and Friday are usually quieter I think.

Are you advertising 'special show prices' (even if its only a teeny bit less than the website ones)?

Oh no, that's a disappointing start for you Carole, but I'm sure it will pick up towards the weekend. Keep smiling and let us know how you are getting on.

Good luck for the next few days

Sorry to hear that Carole. Everyone is right. It's just people like me with no money going out for the day. I have my fingers crossed for you that the weekend is better. Try to go in with a positive attitude tomorrow, so that you can charm some money off people.
