You just couldn't make this up!
It's official. After months of campaigning and badgering, the word 'geti' has been officially accepted into the English language by the Oxford English Dictionary as a verb - yes you read right, the verb 'to geti' and it's all down to the amazing contributions from everybody on the Cooksons forum - take a bow everybody.
The definition is currently, (although yet to be confirmed) 'to maintain a literal or verbal advantage'

Terry Wogan, "I've said GETi so many times it has become a cliché." - speaking before last year's Eurovision contest.
"This GETi stuff is a little frustrating." - famous quote from George Bush.
"Is he just doing a bad GETi pout, or was he born that way?"

Uses include: "He's been GETid" - "I can sense a GETi moment" - What the GETi!
