No - it was very straightforward, here's where I found it.

The Metal Arts Society of Southern California - MASSC

The only change I made was to use glass, but frosted plastic would work just as well, and would be a bit safer - Glass is just easier to clean.

The grey background is made from the plastic front and back covers from a WH Smiths A3 sketchbook, but card would work fine.

All wood 3/4 inch (18mm) MDF cut by a local sawmill
(MDF is medium density fibreboard - a bit like chipboard but with a smooth surface.)

    Parts list

    Qty Desc Size
    1 Base 12 inches by 18 inches
    2 Sides 12 inches by 9 inches
    1 Back 10.5 inches by 9 inches
    1 Glass 12 inches by 9 inches (6mm frosted)

Glued and screwed, then painted black inside - glass separate
and just rests on top when in use.
