I remember shouting at the tv when he said what he said about the opal necklace lol , "You dont want to keep them in a dry atmosphere". Some of the best opals come from a dry atmosphere. Its only Ethiopean ones that are a problem.

Yes those sort of errors are annoying. The valuers views are slightly out of sync with us.
Still, I've just finished a book where the protagonist's father is a jeweller, and he reaches for his soldering iron.
