    Oh well! I expect to be “thrown out of the brownies!” But the owner loves the ring and begged me to make it safe but not risk destruction….so……Araldite it was! Then dusted with silver dust.
    At least the “bodge” won’t be seen and it should hold together. Owner delighted….me a bit ashamed! Please forgive me!

    You could have mixed the silver dust into the resin or treated it like kintsugi

    Yes! I though of that after applying and pressing the araldite into the holes etc. But alls well that ends well. Ring saved and a happy owner!

    I'd recommend going with the sweat soldering method using extra easy paste solder. It should help you fix the damaged area without risking overheating.
