Default How to tube set a 7mm amethyst….

I made the ring in the photo using a 4mm amethyst and my wife liked it very much but wanted a larger stone. So I found one…..7mm. The problem is I can’t find any ready made tube settings or plain tube to make a setting from. Has anyone any ideas or alternative ways to set this stone? I blanch at the idea of making my own tube!

Bellore Rashbel have 7mm silver tube https://www.bellorerashbel.co.uk/Sil...Tube-Round-7mm.
Or make a 7mm o/s diameter 0,4mm fine silver bezel (for ease of working). It should be a little taller than the stone.

Cover it in a 7mm i/s diameter 0.4mm fine silver bezel, which is slightly taller for setting, and you will have an 8mm tube with an internal ledge to sit your stone in. Basically a tube within a tube.

Thank you Dennis. Quite a company and a very varied and interesting stock. I think I will go for the tube to start with!
