Well Bob, when you're retired every day is off. But yes, Friday to Monday are holidays. Shop opening on Friday and Sunday will be restricted. Dennis.

What's a day off?
Depends what job you do. Husband was a cop and Mum was in nursing and care so never knew public holidays or weekends.
I’m usually working round Easter moving around before the assay office closes for 4 days but unable to do Open Studios any more so I’ve no idea what happens in the rest of society!
Interesting responses, yep once retired things change you get out of step with holidays some times, my partner still works ( now that we have publicly signed the subs agreement they will probably never let her retire ) so it means we get to go some where and spend all day together.
I'm supposed to have retired some years ago, but working hard still at the moment spending my hours re-photographing all my stock ( ) for a new website platform.
I spent thirty years before that as self employed so it's always been do the work when the work needs doing.
Yes. I have never been employed, always self employed so you do what’s needed when needed! But now “retired” I can at least have a bit more choice and latitude…….I think!

I have a week off from my day job, not sure I'm ever going to be in a position financially to be able to retire sadly
In Australia it's 66-67 depending on when you were born.
