    Hello guys ,
    Here is a video I made on gold frosting .
    I dont know what this process is known as ?
    Is this known as frosting?

    Also , How do you guys do this ?

    I'd call it stippling. I tend to regard frosting as using either a wire wheel or abrasive dust (blown or simply poured on).
    I've got a tip for the Foredom hammer handpiece that has a diamond flush set in it, pavilion out, for faceted stippling.

    Well, I suppose you could also call it texturing.

    A similar effect can be obtained with a small ball burr, made slightly excentric, by bending it while the neck is red hot.
    It is noticable that low carat gold, and sterling silver will tarnish much more quickly if treated in this way.

    The engraver can also be used turned right down, or connected to a resistance, or dimmer, to act as a burnisher for flush setting.
    A cheap alternatinve to a hammer handpiece, if you can stand the noise. Dennis.
