    Default Gold solder

I'm soldering gold for the first time. Is there any difference in quality in buying the gold solder wire or sheet?
I don't want to buy a huge amount, so thought I would opt for the wire, so I can buy it in smaller quantities.

And does it solder exactly like silver?

    Thank you

I think its nicer to solder than silver. it doesn't eat the heat up as much. if you only need a small amount wire will probs work out cheaper. well maybe more expensive but cheaper to buy a smaller amount

Yes, but buy the thicker of the solder wires, which is easier to snip and put in place.
(I've never learned to do actual wire soldering, where you touch the wire to the heated piece). Dennis.
