    Default Reshaping Palladium Wedding Ring

    Hi,

I have been asked to reshape a palladium wedding ring. It is not in too bad a condition and is comfort fit.

I’ve included a couple of photos.

I have never worked with palladium before or comfort fit.

Can I treat it the same as a misshapen silver or gold ring, anneal, quench, pickle, pumice, rawhide mallet on a metal ring mandrel?

    Many thanks.

Not sure Emily, but someone experienced will reply soon. In the mean time you can read around the subject here:https://www.google.com/search?channe...+platinum+ring

If you are just reshaping, its ok to work with. its like platinum ish, If you need to resize I would be careful taking the job on if you are not sure. Also don't beat it so much as it will need resizing. It may just be the picture but the ring looks very worn on the top and bottom compared with the sides ? If it is make sure you make the customer aware as it will look out of true when you make it round sti.

Sorry, I misread it as platinum. Dennis.
