    Default Seed pearls

Has anyone experience of using seed pearls? Just wondered what the best way of fixing them was....

Yes Theresa, I once made a necklace of linked wire squares, decorated with one hole seed pearls.

To hold them in place, I made miniature cups from thin slices of 2.0mm silver wire and a tiny home made doming punch.
Too small to make a post, so just roughened the cups instead.
Once soldered on, I glued the pearls in place hole side down, using 2part Araldite.

Sorry I cant find a picture. Kind regards, Dennis.

Sounds like hard work Dennis. Just drop an earring finding into a drill hole.(full instructions in my book)

I was looking at undrilled...but your idea sounds good Dennis. I have a quantity of tiny silver caps so that will make life a bit easier.

Found it since you asked David, scanned in from a 6"x4"print dated 2007 before I had a computer, so a bit blurred.

Just picked up on your comment that you planned to use undrilled. Won't work. You need them half drilled because the pin is vital for keeping them in place on the setting.
