Hi
Has anyone got any tips or tutorials for bending up signet rings? I find the heavy weight ones really hard and they end up with funny kinks or a bit if a strange shake. I have two types of ring bender.
Any tips greatly appreciated!

Yes because they have a thicker centre, bending up from flat with a ring bender will leave them not quite round. You can try to follow up with a mallet to improve things a little, but not much.
The truth is that they are best cast to your own design, or bought as ring blanks, ready for engraving. Dennis.
This one shows a more conventional use of the ring bender and use of the hammer afterwards.

Thanks everyone, from watching the videos that’s what I’ve been doing so far although ( with them turning out a bit wonky )
I did think about creating a ring mandrel with a flat face?
I thought using the stamped blanks is better for engraving but iff do you can get ready for bed ones that would be helpful!
can you get cast formed signet blanks from anywhere?
Thanks again
Found some from hockley mint!
Also this inexpensive one from Cookson, which could easily be downsized: https://www.cooksongold.com/category...g+signet+rings
