    Default Collar necklace

    Hi all, my customer would like to commission a collar style necklace & pendant, as per the attached image.
    The centre pendant section isn't a problem, but the collar - can anyone assist in how to make this?
    They would like it in 18ct yellow gold.
    Thanks in advance!

    Image far too small, but probably factory made.

    Thanks Dennis. I'm a studio maker, just trying to disappoint the customer by saying no.

    Keep an eye on this space, and someone else might come up with a suggestion.

    As I see it, it is a factory made flat chain, although you might get near it with chain maille.

    Then you could cold connect the claws and add a flush set pendant. One thing is certain, it would take weeks to make, and be much more expensive than buying it ready made.

    You could not afford to have it rejected when finished, because it would cost thousands an no one else is that likely to want it. Dennis.

    I’ve just done an image search and it’s Cartier at £73,00! Really?
    It’s a one of a kind pendant /brooch with a step cut imperial topaz surrounded by diamonds!

    Yes - that's what they've asked for! I'm tempted to point them in the direction of just buying that one... I would like to help, but really not sure I can.

    I would reiterate that it’s a one off and you’d be stealing another company’s design with all the financial clout that Cartier would have you would be breaking the law. Letting the customer down, really? Is this a joke?

    It’s an app called Image Search Dennis and I have it on the iPad but would imagine you can get it on a phone. You just save a photo and then on the app go to photos and click search for the photo. It will come up anywhere it’s been published which seemed appropriate as those were screen shots

    On Android you open the image with the photos app and then click on the "lens" button. It comes up with this;
