    Default Lost wax gluing

Hello, an absolute beginner here. With only half a dozen ‘successful’ cast pewter practice pieces I now face a new problem. I can join blue wax at the sprue in the normal untidy fashion. How can I join a small block to the top of the column of wax. In a neat manner to allow further carving? Or is the only answer to buy a larger block in the first place?
    Be gentle!

Hi WD, and welcome to the forum.
You can flame the interfaces until they are just runny, and press together until cool, or if only a small addition is required, drip wax on until the drips build up, and then cool. Dennis.
