    That is my point if your background turned grey inside the camera either you did something wrong or your camera is faulty or you need a better camera

    You should try photographing a single pearl and then tell me that.

    I have to admit I have never photographed a single pearl on a white background it is a challenge I will have to take up I will let you know the results either way.

    Default Experiment Done

    Here is a cheap pearl from my box, photographed on white.
    The background is a piece of photographic plastic, all the way from china.
    1.Exposure compensation, 2.unedited, 3. edited, 4 background whitened further. Dennis.
