To date, I have only made rings, pendants and bracelets for family members. This is the first box I have made, to replace a small Tupperware box my wife takes her daily medication in when we are out. Somehow, it looks a little better. To say I am nervous of posting photos of my work is a bit of an understatement but here goes...

    Stay safe and sane

Thank you for your kind words.
It is a relief that you recognised the cat! To get the texture of fur, I used the light grit drum in the set of bits that came with the pendant motor I bought recently. What a difference that has made compared to a Dremel.

Congratulations. Boxes with hinged lids are always tricky and you have made something original and useful.Dennis.

That's so sweet - and what a nice thing to do. I'm sure your wife's delighted at having such a classy container for her meds! Well done on the hinging - it's not easy and your end result looks great.

I'm guessing you have a hidden catch on the inside?

Thank you all for your kind comments. They are really encouraging. The catch is a simple silver angle soldered on the inside of the lid and bent until it had the right amount of resistance against the side of the box.

Nice job I used to have a lot of trouble with hinges then one day it just clicked, now don't mind them
( that neat little box would not not hold all my meds these days)

Yes. Know what you mean! Years ago I went away with a change of clothes and a cheque book....now a suitcase full of meds and load of plastic cards.
