    Default Rings

Hi - has anyone made a ring using the D shape profile but turning the rounded side to the inside? I am asking because Cookson's 'easy fit' use a similar profile and I wondered if D would work. Unfortunately I have none in stock so would have to buy a length to try. It's for a commission. Thanks guys

I'm sure I've seen a ring done like that. Will see if it is on my Pinterest account for you.

I've done it before now. Comfort fit isn't usually quite as high a dome.

Please note the profiles they show, because some D wire is high dome and some is low dome

But it's no great trouble to file the inside edges of rectangular strip either. The difference would not be noticed by the customer. Dennis.

I do it all the time. It's a particularly useful trick if you're needing to set a largish flat bezel base and want a flat, rather than curved surface to maximise contact.
