    Default BURRS BURRS BURRS cabide?

hi guys.. i come here with a question ... maybe many of those beginners have as well..

is carbide burrs worth the price?
i work with silver so i was thinking in invest in those burrs.

    or is a bad idea?

and if use properly how long a normal burr last and how long a carbide burr last..

    use in 1mm - 2.30mm setting.

    thank you all in advance.

Its not to do with cost or durability.
The blades of carbide burrs have a different configuration, and need more speed to cut effectively without chipping.
As a result, I dont think they are as suitable for delicate proceedures on metal. Dennis

I use carbide ball burrs for most of my setting, preferably the Busch 1AU range. Running at 3-4k rpm.

    hi mrs Bond

    i already have all carbide.

    drills .70 and 1.00

    ball burr 1.10, 1.40, 1.60, 1.80, 2.00, 2.20, 2.30

Busch Carbide Pave Cut 1.10, 1.60

    Hat burr 70 degree
1.60, 2.30 (those that i wanna buy is same size as ball burrs) but in 90 degree...

so im looking for long lasting...otherwise i will buy a regular burrs if dont make so much difference in performance and durability .
