    Default Millgrain in wax

Is it possible to use a millgrain wheel on a wax model? Thank you so much for your help!

It is, but there's a fair chance that finishing the casting will leave them muted. I'd be inclined to leave it until after casting, personally.

Thank you for the advice Peter!

That makes sense. Will the wax clog/ruin the wheel?

I would like to make a pattern/texture with millgrain and for that I was anticipating engraving several parallel lines and then run the millgrain wheel on top of the lines (the ones that protrude). I struggled a lot with getting a consistent engraved straight line let alone several side by side (I just started attempting to engrave so really not skilled at all)... I was wondering what you think on cast engraving the parallel lines and then make the millgrain after casting the wax model.
