    A very good point James. The auction site does not mention Fabergé just the workmaster August Holmstrom. It's listed as a Russian egg. So I suppose that lets them off the hook. It's the magazine article that suggest it's Fabergé. The auction site does list some other provenance but the problem of the mark and jump ring is still valid weather Fabergé or not.

    My guess is only for genuine Faberge, one similar sold last year in Sydney, for $21,190 AUD
