Default Chipped Opal - Please help

I ever so slightly chipped an opal when setting the stone but it's a bespoke order and I don't have one similar to replace it.

    Does anyone have any advice?
I've read about Opticon but can only find that in the states. Can anyone recommend a resin I might be able to use? Or any other tricks?

    All help welcome!!!

An apocryphal story is that sometimes sculptors would fill accidental damage to marble with a little wax. Hence when ending a traditional letter you would write 'Yours sincerely' meaning without wax.
Opticon is an epoxy filler sometimes used to fill defects in gem stones, so any clear two part epoxy, such as devcon would do. Left alone if applied skilfully it would set shiny, but could also be trimmed and polished after 24hours.
When writing to explain this to your client, its best to avoid the traditional ending.
    Welcome to the forum. Dennis

Thanks Dennis! I've found 2 part Devcon so will try this on something else as a test before trying on the opal.
I appreciate your help. Will let you know how it goes !
