    Default The Staffordshire Hoard.

I've just come across this website and it has some amazing pictures of some of the artifacts found in July this year. The Staffordshire Hoard: Images of the hoard. 644 photos. A great design resource. Enjoy!!

Yes, wow, and to think how they woudl have done it with far more primitive tools and equipment than we have today.

All those pieces of jewellery - it's amazing to see it all together. When I went to one of the museums in Dublin (a few years ago now) and saw the pieces of one of the irish hoards all together under lighting - it blew me away!

I agree with you about all the fantastic gold in Dublin!! And I can feel a trip to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery or the British Museum in London (wherever it ends up on display) coming on...

The Hoard is in Birmingham until the 13th October and then it goes down to The British Museum in London. We are going to go and have a look, as that's not far from us by train.

BTW, I've just read that if anyone is thinking of going, queuing time may be up to 3 hours. I've posted a link here for info. http://www.bmag.org.uk/events?id=402&start=6
