    Default Sand Blasting Alternatives

    Hello all

First time posting here but I am really quite stuck. I am making a ring for a friend in silver. The ring is made in flat wire and the plan was to mask off one half of the band along a line of a road map (its a personally significant journey to her), and sandblast one half. However, as of now I cannot get access to the sandblaster I was going to use as the institution it resides in has closed.

I am at home with a limited jewellery bench set up and wonder, can anyone suggest to me an alternative finish I could achieve without a sandblaster and with areas masked off.

I'll attach an image of a similar piece I have made previously using the masking tape and sandblasting method.Click image for larger version.
