Default Hallo from North East England

Hello all just joined so Iím saying hi.

Iím Jason. From the North East of England, and Iím a newbie to jewellery Ė Iíve been doing wire wrapped jewellery for a number of years but unfortunately that doesnít satisfy my need to hit things with a hammer so Iíve started on fabricating stuff out of wire, sheet and other stuff.

My ďworkshopĒ is the bench in the garage, above the lawn mower, hedge trimmer and storage boxes.

Still playing around and learning the ropes. Not got my own style yet but Iíve been making a few things out of old coins which does involve a lot of whacking the piece with a hammer/punch/mallet so that bitís satisfied.

I do like the jewellery of the Southwest Tribes, especially the Hopi, so Iím currently working of a necklace inspired by the Squash Flower necklaces, but with my own take on it.
