    Default Storms

Been getting the news reports from UK about severe storms and flooding, I hope none of our members are being impacted,

For me at least it's been nothing worse than horribly inclement weather and a good excuse to stay home over the two weekends we've been affected by high winds and torrential rain. Other places in the country have had flooding though so I echo your sentiments and hope that no-one has been flooded out.

It must be devastating to be flooded twice in 2 weeks as some of the properties in Yorkshire have. We have had a flood here 70 years apart, the last in the 90s and I remember how long it took the houses involved to dry out. My OH was a serving cop at the time and was on house patrol after the occupants moved out. It’s all just horrible. Scotland is just down in the borders but we have blizzards forecast for the next couple of days. Given that we’ve had nothing but rain all winter , snow will be a bit of a novelty

Luckily, we keep a good stock of processed tinned meats.
