    Default Foredom Foot pedal problem

Hello all, I've had a foredom flex shaft for about 2 years. It's just stopped working.
I tried the drill plugged straight into the mains and that works fine. So it seems my pedal is broken.
I've googled spare parts and can't see anything. Does anyone know whether they are worth repairing?
Can I use a sewing machine pedal instead?
    Many thanks

I wouldn’t think so but have no idea. I would phone Foredom, I believe it’s easy to get parts

    Hi
If you bought it from Cooksongold within the last two years, it might be covered by the ‘exclusive 2 years guarantee’ they offer.

Try using a sewing machine foot pedal seems to be the same as the original?

I wouldn't do that, as it might invalidate the guarantee. Far better to contact Foredom and see what they can suggest. They have always been helpful when I've contacted them.

Thank you all. I didn't try the sewing machine pedal - I was worried it would make the problem worse - but I had a day off yesterday and I really wanted to use it!!
I am just slightly over two years so I have no warranty. Thanks for all the links, it looks like people change pedals occasionally- I maybe just unlucky that it's so soon . I'm going to contact foredom to see if it is worth repairing before replacing.
    Thanks all for the help.
